- Commercial Insights Training

A significant and continuing reduction in the grant funding issued by Central Government has forced publicly-funded organisations to explore alternative ways of operating and delivering services to their customers. This reduction in funding, coupled by increasing demand for services, has sharpened the need to operate in a commercially astute way.

This approach is reflected within Kent County Council through its corporate outcomes framework, “Supporting Independence & Opportunity” which states “By becoming a strategic commissioning authority KCC can become the leaner, more agile and outcome focused organisation it needs to be to successfully meet the financial and public service challenges it faces”.

To support its transition to becoming a commercially astute commissioning authority, Kent County Council’s Finance & Procurement division has developed a suite of training courses, known as “Commercial Insights Training”. Our training courses cover a wide-range of topics that give delegates crucial insights into commercialism, and equips them with the knowledge and skills required to give their organisation’s strategy that commercial edge.

Browse our catalogue here for further details about our courses, including:

  • Commercial Awareness and Business Acumen
